March 23, 1998 NEW COPPER - GOLD - SILVER ZONE, "TIERRA DE ORO" Ongoing reconnaissance of the portion (40%) of the property not previously explored has resulted in the discovery of the "Cortez Zone". This zone consists of a 300 - 600 metre wide NNE trending zone of quartz porphyritic dikes and altered volcanics marginal to diorite porphyry intrusions. The dikes are highly fractured quartz- veined and clay altered. A prominent band of strong clay alteration and quartz sulphide breccia veins, 100 to 200 metres wide and at least 1000 metres long returned values of 0.3 to 0.9 gpt gold with 0.6% to 2.7% copper and 7.7 to 22.3 gpt silver from the one to two metre width veins. The zone is open in both strike directions and will require trenching for representative sampling to be carried out. Mapping and sampling of the eight large mineralized precious metal zones on the property will be followed by an extensive trenching program.
